Devils Bridge Trail
Devils Bridge Trail is a 4.2 mile, heavily trafficked outback trail located near Sedona, Arizona that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate difficulty. The trail is primarily used for OHV/off road driving.
Broken Arrow Trail
The brilliant reddish-orange sandstone cliffs and canyons of the area are particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset, when their colors are most brilliant. The trail is just over four miles long in a one-way loop. It is well-marked and made up of hard-packed slickrock. Broken Arrow Trail is said to be somewhat challenging as there are particularly steep and narrow portions that are not recommended for a novice ATV rider.
Redington Pass
This secluded but beautiful trail is located east of Tucson. The Redington Pass trail is good for motorcycles and ATVs. There’s plenty of staging area and miles of unpaved, rocky trail that offer beautiful views of the surrounding desert. Along the route, you’ll find some hiking trails that lead down to nearby Tanque Verde Creek and a waterfall for swimming and sunbathing.
Tonto National Forest
There are 130 moderate trails in the Tonto National Forest, ranging from 0.7 to 91.8 miles and from 1,322 to 7,926 feet above sea level. The boundaries of the Tonto National Forest are the Phoenix metropolitan area to the south, the Mogollon Rim to the north and the San Carlos and Fort Apache Indian Reservation to the east.
The Tonto National Forest features some of the most ruggedly beautiful lands in the country. The cacti of the Sonoran desert and flatlands lead into the Mogollon Rim highlands. There are excellent recreational opportunities throughout the year on its lakeside beaches.
Winters are spectacular in Arizona. The high desert does get some snow, but the lower desert is perfect for winter riding. In January, temperatures are 50+ degrees and there are pretty sunny days.
